GLRAALG.A.P Risk Assessment in Social Practices (GRASP) is primarily based on document verifications, and aims to assess social risks in primary production. GRASP supports producers in addressing important social issues and building awareness at the farm level.
GRASP consists of 13 Control Points and a Compliance Standard;
11 points of control for independent producers and producer groups.
One additional control point for Quality Management Systems (QMS) for groups of producers
One control point for recommended social practices.
GRASP can be evaluated with GLOBALG.A.P criteria. For primary production or similar recognized systems / AMC. Moreover, GRASP can be assessed in any country – even without a GLOBALG.AP approved GRASP national interpretation guideline. If a country does not have a GRASP interpretation guideline in the country, applicants need to submit a project plan to develop this guideline. For interpretation to the GLOBALG.AP Secretariat
